Jack Osbourne and his wife, Aree Gearhart, have shared a moment of pure joy with fans worldwide: the arrival of their baby girl, named in a touching tribute to his late father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.
The former MTV star, 40, took to Instagram to announce the birth of Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, capturing hearts with a photo of the newborn peacefully resting beside a bat plushie and a “Hello World” badge. “She’s arrived and she’s perfect,” Jack wrote, announcing the little one’s arrival on March 5 just before 9 a.m.
Fans quickly flooded the post with congratulations, praising the beautiful choice of name. One commented, “Yay, we have another Ozzy Osbourne! The world is right again,” while another added, “I’m sure Ozzy is smiling.”
The joyous news comes after a challenging year for Jack, whose father passed away in July at the age of 76 following a six-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Ozzy had known he was going to be a grandfather again, giving the family comfort during his final days.:max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():focal(742x222:744x224)/jack-osbourne-welcomes-baby-daughter-ozzy-matilda-031126-14f3b0a6251c4699b946799148cd1ba8.jpg)
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Jack reflected on the arrival of his daughter as a source of healing and hope: “It’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing… it’s taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked it in hopefulness.”
Jack and Aree are already parents to three-year-old Maple, and Jack has three daughters from his previous marriage. The family’s expansion has been met with immense excitement, not just for the newest addition, but also for the meaningful connection to Ozzy’s legacy.
This new chapter brings warmth and light to Jack’s family, celebrating life, love, and remembrance in equal measure.
