KELLY Clarkson is being unexpectedly replaced with an actor as a host on her talk show.
The singer has been accused by fans of “checking out” as the show enters its final months.
Mario Lopez will be taking over hosting duties on Tuesday while Kelly is absent.
Today show host Willie Geist filled in for the singer on Monday’s episode.
While Kelly will be back at the helm on Wednesday, no reason was given for her abrupt departure.
Olympic figure skaters Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir will serve as guest hosts in coming weeks, but the date of their episodes have not yet been announced.
Fans have taken notice of the show’s frequent guest hosts.
“Kelly really has checked out of the show already,” one fan wrote on Instagram.
“No thank you, I only watch when Kelly is hosting, I’m out,” another viewer commented.
Kelly announced in February that The Kelly Clarkson Show would end after fall 2026.
“Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” she said in a statement.
“This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time… you never know where I might show up next.”
Kelly’s departure from her show comes after a difficult year for her family.
Her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, died after a battle with cancer in August 2025.
Kelly previously postponed her Las Vegas residency to spend more time with her children, River, 11, and Remy, 10, while Brandon was sick.
The Kelly Clarkson Show first premiered in 2019, and has run for seven seasons.
