Kelvin Fletcher and his family will be staying on screens for a while longer, after ITV confirmed two more series of Fletchers’ Family Farm.
The factual entertainment series follows former Emmerdale star Kelvin, his wife Liz and their four children as they continue building a new life on their 120-acre farm in the Peak District. ITV says the programme has performed strongly, with 6.3 million streams on ITVX so far this year.
What began as a glimpse into one family’s countryside move has grown into a show that many viewers now feel personally invested in. The appeal lies in its honesty: the Fletchers are not shown as experts with everything under control, but as a family learning through early starts, animal care, difficult decisions and plenty of unexpected moments.
Kelvin and Liz’s journey has resonated because the series blends farming life with family life. Viewers see the pressure, the humour, the mistakes and the small wins that come with trying to make a working farm succeed.
The next two series are expected to continue following the highs and lows of life on the farm, including the everyday realities, risky choices and emotional moments that have helped the show stand out. A report on the renewal says series five and six will keep exploring the family’s progress as they build on everything they have learned so far.
For fans, the news means there is no goodbye just yet. More rural challenges, family milestones and behind-the-scenes farm life are on the way.
And perhaps that is why the show has built such a loyal following. It is not simply about a celebrity moving to the countryside. It is about resilience, teamwork and taking a chance on a very different kind of future.
