Kerry Katona has spoken out in support of Freddy Brazier after he opened up about his drug addiction last week, claiming his grandmother, Jackiey Budden, was the one who got him ‘hooked’ on drugs.
“I’ve been smoking since I was 12. I’ve been to rehab, I’ve been sectioned, I’ve had manic episodes, I’ve been in cells. There’s been a real journey and it’s been a tough one,” said Freddy last week, just days before it was revealed he is set to become a dad for the first time. “My nan was definitely the person who not only introduced me to weed but got me hooked,” Freddy added.
Mum-of-five Kerry, who has been through drug addiction herself, took to her weekly column to send love to 20-year-old Freddy. Elsewhere in the column, Kerry wished her eldest daughter a happy 24th birthday and shared her thoughts on Lily Phillips’ recent appearance on Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over.

Supporting Freddy
Freddy Brazier has opened up about his struggles with drugs and claimed that his nan, Jackiey Budden, got him “hooked” on them. To be honest, I know what he’s going through because I went through it myself with my mum and it’s awful. The one thing I will say to him is that, if I can get through it, then so can he. I’m out the other side but I know what it’s like being in the thick of it. It’s so sad for Freddy, who has admitted he’s been addicted to smoking since he was 12, and I imagine it’s difficult for him as Jackiey is a connection to his mum, but he just needs to focus on getting better and having positive forces around him.

A Proud Mum
It was Molly’s birthday on Sunday and I cannot believe my baby girl is 24, where does time go? She had plans back in Ireland so sadly I haven’t seen her, but we always FaceTime each other. The fact she’s 24 is just crazy to me. I’m so proud of all of my children, they’ve grown into such amazing and beautiful people – I’m proud of myself for raising them too! My birthday is also this weekend and I’ll be 45, but sadly there won’t be many celebrations. I’m going to be starting my tour with Katie Price so we’ll be busy, which is a shame as I would have liked to celebrate with the family – but it is what it is. Speaking of the tour, I want to say a big thank you to Sofasway for providing me and Katie with gorgeous sofas for our tour – they’ve been great.
David’s Double
Romeo Beckham is the spitting image of his dad, David, in a new photoshoot for VMan . But saying that, I really do see Victoria in him too, he’s such a mix. Romeo obviously takes after his dad, but I really hate this whole “nepo baby” narrative. If you saw your mum doing make-up for a living, you might want to also be a make-up artist, but that doesn’t make you any good at it. Celebrities can open doors for their kids, but they need to be talented to stay in the room.

The Life Of Lily
I read about the recent episode of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over with adult star Lily Phillips, and I think it’s good we have documentaries about OnlyFans – how is it any different to something like Naked Attraction ? I don’t understand why people complain about giving people who do OnlyFans a platform – it’s a job and a way of making money. It was a saving grace for me. Saying that, Lily’s parents got really emotional in the episode, which I completely understand. She’s their baby girl and I’d be the same if one of my kids did OnlyFans. Even though I do it, it’s different as a parent. They have every right to be upset, but at the end of the day it’s her choice and what can you do?

Feeling The Love
I’m so used to negativity, bad press and trolling that I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed recently with all the love I’m getting from people watching Celebs Go Dating . It’s been nice for people to see that I’m a normal and nice person. I did shed a little tear looking through all my Instagram messages – it’s strange and overwhelming but so lovely. My kids are all obsessed with the show too. It makes me happy that everybody is enjoying it as much as I am.
