Love Island star Lauren Wood has spoken publicly for the first time about her “sad” split from boyfriend Harrison Solomon, revealing that although the breakup was mutual, she still has love for him and wishes him well. The 26-year-old reality star addressed the end of their relationship amid growing speculation, especially after the pair appeared to take light-hearted swipes at each other on social media. Lauren now insists these posts were simply TikTok trends and not personal digs, despite fans assuming otherwise.

Lauren and Harrison, who found love during their time on Love Island, went their separate ways just weeks ago. Their split initially came as a shock to fans, particularly because the two had seemed inseparable after leaving the villa. But Lauren stresses that although the breakup was a difficult one, there is no animosity between them. “It’s only been a couple of weeks that I’ve been single,” she told The Sun. “I’m just focusing on myself. Right now we’ve gone our separate ways. We’re still friends, we’re mutual, but we’re both on our own journeys.”
She described their split as “obviously sad,” pointing out that they experienced the intensity of the Love Island environment together — a unique experience that few people can understand. “It’s such a surreal experience and we had each other through it,” she said. “But I’m grateful for the memories we’ve made together.”
Despite their mutually agreed breakup, Lauren admitted her feelings haven’t magically disappeared. She confessed she still thinks highly of Harrison and cares deeply for him, even though he was recently spotted looking close to fellow Love Island star Samie Elishi. Speaking from the red carpet at the Beauty Awards 2025 on Monday, she said: “Obviously he meant a lot to me and he still does mean a lot to me. He means a lot.”
However, when asked whether reconciliation could be possible in the future, Lauren was honest but noncommittal. “Who knows what will happen in the future? What is meant to be will be — I’m a firm believer in that,” she shared. She reiterated that there is no bitterness between her and Harrison: “It was a mutual decision. We’re still friends, we’re on good terms. I’ll always have his back and there’s no bad feelings between us. It ended on the best terms possible.”

Lauren also emphasized that the two have not unfollowed or blocked each other on social media. “There’s no need for that,” she said. “If I see him at an event, then we’re fine.”
Yet the breakup has left one particular worry lingering in Lauren’s mind: the possibility of Harrison signing up for Love Island: All Stars — something The Sun recently revealed he’s in advanced talks to do. The new spin-off season is scheduled for January, barely two months after their split. Lauren didn’t hide her emotions about the news. “Obviously he’s on his own now, but I would be gutted if he did All Stars,” she admitted. “It’s never nice to see anyone that you love on another TV show.”
She continued, “But at the end of the day he’s single. It’s up to him what he does with his life. But obviously it would never be nice to see another person that they like be on TV.” Her comments highlight the lingering emotional difficulty of seeing an ex move on so publicly, especially within the unique bubble of reality television.
As for her own plans, Lauren made it clear she has zero intention of returning to Love Island herself. “I’d never go back. I don’t want to do that,” she insisted. She also confirmed she is not dating anyone. “It’s too soon to be dating — definitely not. I’m just focusing on myself and my career.”

Lauren addressed the recent online speculation that she and Harrison were taking swipes at each other following their breakup — a narrative driven by their TikTok posts. Harrison had posted a picture of himself alongside the caption: “Nah babe I still fancy you, it’s just the fact you reached for your vape before you brushed your teeth kinda threw me off.” He captioned it: “Just a trend guys, can’t relate.”
Shortly after, Lauren uploaded a clip of herself wearing a leopard print top in a bathroom mirror, saying: “Nah don’t worry, I still fancy you — it’s just when you take longer to get ready than me that throws me off.” Fans quickly assumed she was firing back at Harrison, interpreting the exchange as the first signs of a messy breakup spilling onto social media.
But Lauren insists this was not the case at all. “There were no bad feelings in it,” she clarified. “Everyone thought we were coming for each other — that’s not the case.” She explained that both posts were simply TikTok trends they participated in because of their popularity, not because they wanted to throw shade at one another.
Her comments paint a picture of a couple who ended their relationship thoughtfully and respectfully, despite the challenges of doing so under public scrutiny. Reality TV breakups often spiral into drama and accusations, but Lauren seems determined to avoid that narrative. Her focus now, she says, is on self-care, personal growth, and building her career without rushing into anything new romantically.

For many fans, Lauren’s candid remarks offer clarity after days of speculation — particularly as Harrison continues to appear in headlines linked to All Stars and his connection with Samie Elishi. But for Lauren, the future is open-ended. She isn’t closing the door on anything, not entirely. As she said herself: “What is meant to be will be.” Until then, she seems committed to healing, reflecting, and moving forward with grace — even if doing so means watching someone she once loved step back into the world of Love Island while she quietly builds a new chapter of her own.
