The actress, 30, said she had been quiet on social media this week because her little girl Nancy was admitted on Monday.

Lucy shared a sweet black and white photo of her daughter at the hospital playing with Lego on the floor.

Alongside the picture, the soap star wrote: “Radio silence this week from me as Nancy was admitted to hospital on Monday.

“She loves a dramatic illness this chick.”

The TV star did not elaborate on the exact medical issue that arose but reassured fans that Nancy was on the mend.

She added: “She’s doing much better now.”

Just last week, Lucy opened up about her own health battle after she revealed that she spent five weeks in a psychiatric hospital.

The Bethany Platt actress said the traumatic ordeal happened during the first Covid lockdown in 2020.

Lucy, who left the soap in March of that year, said things got so bad that she feared she couldn’t see a way forward.

“From quite young, I’ve always struggled. I’ve always been quite insecure,” she said on Johnny Seifert’s Secure the Insecure podcast.

“I was just at the absolute rock bottom that I’ve ever, ever felt. And I really, really, really struggled.

“I had a really bad batch of mental health towards the end of 2020 and I ended up being in The Priory for about five weeks because my mental health was so bad.

“I couldn’t see a way out of feeling how I was feeling.”

Lucy admitted that her family was forced to intervene and get her help.

She explained: “I ended up having to go to hospital, and it was from that point that other people were involved – my mum and my sisters and people that I’d worked with before.

‘It almost felt like other people, other factors, were telling me, ‘Right, you need some serious help now. It’s gone a bit too far’.

“I really didn’t want to do it. I didn’t want to go and I even remember getting there. I really, really did not want to go in.”

The Priory is a mental health facility and rehab that helps around 2,500 people a year, but is known for its A-List celebrity guests.

Now six years on, Lucy admitted that she doesn’t recognise that person anymore – saying it was a “different version” of her.

She said: “It seems like a completely different life.

“I feel like that was a totally different version of me.

“And I’ve been lucky enough to say that I did manage to get myself out of it, because I know for so many people that’s not the reality and you can stay on that level and it’s really hard to get out of feeling like that.”

Lucy also praised her fiance Ryan Ledson for helping her through the most difficult time in her life.

In 2023, Lucy decided to return to Coronation Street and reprise her role.

Lucy got engaged to Ryan last November.
