Rebecca Gayheart and her girls are remembering Eric Dane on Father’s Day.

On Sunday, June 21, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 54, and her daughter Billie, 16, shared posts on their Instagram Stories, honoring the Grey’s Anatomy alum on the first Father’s Day since his death. Gayheart posted a throwback photo of the doting dad with his girls.

“I hurt for my girls today,” she wrote above the photos of Dane with their daughters, Georgia, 14, and Billie. “It’s a ‘first’ of many to come. I know Eric is looking out for them every day. ❤️‍🩹.”

Billie also shared a series of throwback photos of her and her dad on her Instagram Stories. The first snap showed the teenager as a young girl posing alongside her dad as she held onto him. The second photo showed Billie even younger as Dane held her close.

“Happy fathers dad dada, not one date goes by where I don’t miss you,” the 16-year-old wrote below the first photo. “I love you so much more than words could ever describe.”

Dane and Gayheart, who wed in 2003, separated in 2018, but she dismissed her divorce petition in March 2025 and remained a key caregiver for the actor amid his ALS journey. The Euphoria star, who died at 53 years old, 10 months after revealing his amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis. A month after his passing, Gayheart shared in a Variety interview published Wednesday, March 11, that her family was “still in a state of shock.”

“I just want to thank everybody for being so kind to us during the last couple of years. It’s been challenging and meaningful, and people are kind,” Gayheart said. “I’m having trouble receiving all of the support and love coming at me from every which way because of Eric and the [entertainment] community that’s so generous with their time.”

She added, “They’ve been holding me and the girls up the last two weeks, and I don’t think they’re going anywhere. I think they’re in it for the long haul. Hollywood gets a bad rap. That kind of makes me mad, because we have a lovely community of people, and I’m so grateful for them.”
