Reuben Owen Celebrates a Relationship Milestone as He and Jess Host Their First Christmas Together in Festive Special
Our Yorkshire Farm star Reuben Owen marked a major moment in both his life and career during the latest episode of Reuben Owen: Christmas in the Dales, which aired on Tuesday evening.
The seasonal special captured Reuben, 21, and his girlfriend Jess celebrating their first Christmas together as a couple, a moment fans have been eagerly waiting to witness. The timing made it even sweeter, coming just months after the pair celebrated their one-year anniversary in October.
Reuben first won the hearts of viewers as a teenager on Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm, growing up on Ravenseat Farm alongside parents Amanda and Clive and their nine siblings. Since the original series ended in 2022 following Amanda and Clive’s split, Reuben has stepped confidently into the spotlight with his own successful programme, Reuben Owen: Life in the Dales.
In the festive edition, Reuben and Jess took things one step further by hosting a Christmas party at Jess’s family farm — a heartfelt way to thank those who have supported them over the past year.
But before the celebrations could begin, there was plenty to do. Reuben teamed up with pals Sonny and Capper and Jess’s dad David to renovate a barn in time for the festivities, racing against winter weather and tight deadlines.
Adding to the rustic charm, the couple also raised turkey chicks for their first Christmas — a wholesome plan that quickly descended into chaos when the birds made a bid for freedom, leaving Reuben and Jess scrambling to round them up.
Reflecting on their milestone, Reuben quipped to Jess: “This is our second Christmas together, darling!” followed by playful banter about how quickly time has flown.
While Jess admitted she didn’t “really need anything” for Christmas, Reuben jokingly wished for a new articulated wrap… and perhaps another digger.

“Officially one year of loving you,” Reuben wrote, posting heart emojis and calling Jess “so beautiful.”
Jess replied with her own tribute, celebrating their “amazing memories” together.
