Reuben Owen has shared his delight at welcoming a new team member.
The young farmer shares the trials and tribulations of his profession in Life in the Dales, his Channel 5 series alongside his girlfriend, Jess, and friends Sonny and Capper.
The programme also frequently features members of his family, including his dad, Clive Owen, and brothers, Sid and Myles, with whom he rose to fame on Our Yorkshire Farm.
Reuben has now added another member to the team, confirming Jess’ brother-in-law has been helping on projects.
The Channel 5 narrator explained: “Keen to expand his business, Reuben has recently taken on new recruit Martin.”

Ruben then told Martin as they drove to the site: “Right then, this is what we’re on with today, we’re crushing concrete.”
He teased him: “First day, what could possibly go wrong?” before adding: “I’m a lot more relaxed because we now have a mechanic.”
The series went on to explain that Martin is married to Jess’ sister Amelia, and has 17 years of experience with machinery, making him “a welcome addition to Reuben’s squad”.
Reuben shared: “I thought you were joking when you first said you were interested in coming to work for us.”
Martin laughed back: “I thought you were joking when you said you were going to take me on.”

Elsewhere on Tuesday’s episode, Sonny and Capper shared an emotional moment as they reflected on the deaths of close friends and men’s mental health.
Teasing the programme on social media, the Life in the Dales team wrote: “Not many episodes left in this run, we hope you’ve all been enjoying the series so far.
“Thanks so much for all your lovely comments and support.
“Tonight, the boys take on a few different jobs, including building a new play shed at Brough Castle Farm… teamwork included, mostly.

“We meet Reuben’s newest recruit, Clive joins a stone-crushing job, and the lads open up about men’s mental health while raising money for a very deserving charity.”
Fans rushed to share their support, with one writing: “I’m keeping my fingers crossed for another series, it’s the best programme on TV.”
Another said: “Another brilliant jam-packed episode xx I loved everything about it, the true emotion shown xx it just gets better each week xx but an hour goes so quickly xx please don’t ever stop this series, there’s nothing anywhere near as good and entertaining at Life in the Dales xx thankyou to all involved.”
Someone else wrote: “Love this series and look forward to many more. Clive looks well, too. He’s so lovely.”
A fourth added: “Such a wonderful series. The right mix of fun, entertainment, information, and outdoor lives xx.”
