Congratulations are in order for Alexia Jayy.

Alexia Jayy was crowned the winner of The Voice on Tuesday, April 14, marking another victory for coach Adam Levine.

“All that you need, you have. I think you already won,” Levine told Alexia before her victory.

After the win was announced, Alexia burst into tears. “Nobody is more deserving of this honor,” Levine told her.

“I cannot believe that I just won the voice,” Alexia said on a FaceTime call with her mom.

During her blind audition, the Mobile, Ala., native earned chair turns from all three coaches with her stunning performance of Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.”

After the audition, she brought her 9-year-old son Matthew on stage.

“Your momma is a — don’t say this word — but a badass,” coach Kelly Clarkson said. “You can’t say that word until you pay your bills.”

Then, John Legend asked Matthew what kind of music he listens to — and he immediately regretted it.

“Maroon 5,” Matthew responded, prompting Levine — who’s the frontman of Maroon 5 — to spring up from his chair and give Matthew a first bump.

Legend responded in disappointment, “That backfired. I never should’ve asked.”

Before she chose her coach, Levine delivered a hopeful speech to get her on his team.

“You have that voice that motivates me even more to say you know what, this is the best voice in the competition,” the “Sunday Morning” singer, 47, said.

He added, “This is who has to win and we have to make the right choices. I have that feeling that I don’t get often. I think we all do. You’re one of the best we’ve ever seen.”

His speech worked because Alexia Jayy chose him as her coach. Since her audition, the contestant sang Whitney Houston’s “You Give Good Love” during the Knockouts and “Nightshift” during the Battles.

Ahead of the semifinals on Monday, April 13, Alexia Jayy shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, reflecting on her experience.

“This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it and I don’t take a single moment of it for granted,” she wrote, in part.

“And to the other incredible artists standing beside me in this Top 9… it’s been an honor sharing this journey with you,” she continued. “Y’all are not only insanely talented, but genuinely good people, and I’m grateful for the laughs, the support, and the moments we’ve shared behind the scenes. No matter what happens, we already won in so many ways.”

She concluded, “Tomorrow, I’m not just singing for me… I’m singing for everybody who believes in me, everybody who’s ever poured into me, and everybody back home.”
