Kate Cassidy was upset by the cruel gift
Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy was made the subject of a vicious hoax as she was cruelly trolled by someone who sent her flowers.
The influencer, 26, posted on Instagram on Saturday, March 14, where she shared that she had been delivered flowers that she was not expecting to her home address. While she was initially excited about the delivery, Kate soon realized that the gift was a malicious one when she read the attached note.
The cruel message read, “Happy early birthday! The Botox and the TikTok filters are working harder than all of us x. TikTok user.” Sharing the video, Kate wrote, “People are so mean. I was in the middle of filming TikToks in my kitchen when I got this call and I thought it would be a cute moment to film. Turns out it wasn’t.”
Kate was seen smiling into the camera as she explained what was happening in the clip. She said, “I just got a call from my front desk saying that there’s a flower delivery here. Actually have zero idea who these would be from, and I’m a little bit nervous.
“Oh, my God, I love getting flowers. Now we wait patiently for somebody to knock on the door.” Kate then heard her dog wake up and added, “I have a feeling he’s here, because Nala just got up.”

Kate then headed to the door and collected the flowers before heading to her kitchen island to see who had sent them. But upon reading the note she threw the flowers in the bin and said, “Okay, these, these flowers, need to go right in the trash.”
She then added, “I’m actually shaking and I’m so angry. Like, who genuinely spends the money and like, the time to literally go out of their way to hurt somebody’s feelings. Like, who genuinely does that? I’m so sick and tired of this.”
Kate posted a touching tribute to Liam where she wished her “best friend a happy Valentine’s Day.” She posted, “Happy Valentine’s Day to my best friend from afar.” Kate has previously broken down in tears while admitting that she will “always love” Liam and that her future boyfriends will have to accept it.
In a TikTok video, she said, “I want to make something clear. Whoever I end up with in my future will have to accept the fact I will always love Liam. I will always talk about Liam I will always laugh about Liam, I will always cry about Liam.
The unexpected delivery had a vicious note attached
“Let me tell you something, Liam Payne was my boyfriend. He wasn’t just this famous figure to me. It hurts so bad because I am just criticised all the time for speaking about my boyfriend that passed away, the person that I loved and still do love. I would never settle for anyone in this lifetime who did not feel comfortable enough with me speaking about Liam.
“Liam was a very big part of my life. He was my best friend, somebody I really thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with and, obviously, I know one day I’m going to have to move on. I want to get married one day. I want to have kids.
Kate binned the flowers after reading the note
“When a person dies, they die twice, once when they actually die and the second time when you stop speaking about them. I’m not going to have Liam die twice on me. I will love him forever.”
Liam died in October 2024, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was 31 years old.
