Brooklyn Beckham reportedly blocked his family on Instagram this weekend, as the Beckham family feud rages.
The alleged social media blocking came days after it was claimed that Brooklyn was considering dropping his surname.
Now, the reason Brooklyn decided to make such a public move to further fuel the feud has been ârevealedâ by sources.

Brooklyn Beckhamâs feud with his family
The Beckham feud has been ongoing for months now, with reports claiming itâs down to Brooklynâs wife, Nicola Peltzâs, frayed relationship with his parents.Â
Things heated up when Brooklyn also snubbed his dadâs 50th birthday party. Brooklyn reportedly told his parents after that he wanted âno more contactâ with them.
Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows in a lavish ceremony back in August. However, the Beckhams werenât invited. Now, Brooklyn has seemingly taken another step to cut his family out of his life by reportedly blocking them on Instagram.

Cruz hits out
On Sunday (December 21), Cruz Beckham, the youngest son of David and Victoria, hit out at claims that the couple had unfollowed their son on Instagram. The 20 year old shared a newspaper article claiming David and Victoria unfollowed Brooklyn, 26, on his story for his 2.1 million followers to see.
âNOT TRUE,â he wrote. âMy mum and dad would never unfollow their sonâŠLetâs get facts right,â he continued. âThey woke up blocked⊠as did I.â

Reason for blocking ârevealedâ
Today (December 22), reports suggest the reason Brooklyn decided to block his family was because Victoria liked one of his posts.
A source alleged to The Sun that after Victoria hit like on a video of her estranged son roasting a chicken, Brooklyn hit the block button. Itâs claimed heâs blocked his mum, dad, brothers Romeo and Cruz and even little sister Harper.
After the Spice Girl hit the like button, the post was flooded with comments urging Brooklyn to make up with his family. But it is believed he got annoyed at his mumâs public display of affection. And then blocked them all.
A source claimed: âDavid and Victoria are understandably heartbroken by whatâs gone on here. This came out of the blue for them. And in the lead-up to Christmas when families are supposed to come together, itâs devastating.
âBrooklyn wants things fixed in private and not played out on social media, although his actions have resulted in quite the opposite.â

Brooklyn to ditch Beckham name in 2026 ârebrandâ?
Earlier this month, it was reported that Brooklyn was looking to change his surname.
His current surname is Beckham-Peltz, after tying the knot with actress Nicola in 2022.
Speaking to Heat magazine, a source claimed: âItâs been nearly a year since Brooklyn last spoke to his parents, and while they have tried to build bridges, he has no intention of meeting with them until they issue a public apology to Nicola.â
The source claimed Brooklyn is hoping for a âpersonal rebrandâ in 2026 to start afresh. âThey both feel their double-barrelled name is associated with the feud, and they want to move on. They donât need the Beckham name anymore and they would like any future babies to be Peltz,â the source also claimed.
The potential move is being described as the âultimate insultâ to David and Victoria. The insider added that there would be âno going backâ if Brooklyn went through with the move.
