Former reality TV personality Spencer Pratt’s mayoral hopes may just have been dashed.

Though The Hills alum shot to No. 2 on June 2, election night across Los Angeles, where Pratt lives with wife Heidi Montag and their two children, votes that have been tabulated in the days since have moved decisively away from the Republican.

According to the latest readout from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder, Pratt’s tally currently sits at 26.7 percent of the total vote share, while Raman now leads him at 27.1 percent. Democratic incumbent Karen Bass still sits at No. 1 with 34.6 percent of the vote.

As of Sunday, 1,897,653 of a possible 5,891,851 votes have been counted. Mail-in ballots postmarked by June 2 will still be accepted and counted through Tuesday.

Pratt announced his bid for mayor of Los Angeles in January, citing his home burning down in the 2025 Palisades Fire as the primary instigator for his pivot to politics. Since then, he’s run a campaign based on animosity, recrimination, and misinformation, heavily relying on AI-generated images and videos to smear his opponents.

As the vote began to turn away from him over the weekend, Pratt has turned to conspiracy to undermine the results of an ongoing democratic process.

On X, he shared a ballot count analysis by FOXLA reporter Matthew Seedorff breaking down a “net swing of more than 43,000 votes” that pushed Raman over the edge to lead Pratt since election night.

“43,000, huh? Where have I seen that number before…?” he asked, adding an image from a March 18 blog post with highlighted text noting that “43,699 people experienced homelessness on any given night in the City of Los Angeles.” He then wrote, “probably nothing,” insinuating a connection between Los Angeles’ homeless population, which he has shared concerning misinformation about in the past, and his disadvantage in the race.

On the same day on his Instagram story, Pratt shared an image of Raman, a progressive who achieved a shocking victory in a long shot race for city council in 2020, with the following caption: “Remember everyone…we are still in the lead, and we’ve got allllll the way til July 6th to keep counting. They’re not the only ones who know where to find votes 😉.”

With Bass’ primacy secured, the candidate with the second-most votes will compete with her in a runoff election in November.
