RYLAN Clark is facing a major hurdle in his race for the top job on Strictly Come Dancing – his saucy dating show.
The much loved presenter’s show Dating Naked UK is returning for a third series after top-secret talks by bosses at Paramount+.
Filming will take place at an exotic location later this year ahead of airing in 2027.
But, should Rylan land a role on Strictly, August to December will be jampacked with BBC business.
An insider said: “Rylan’s show Dating Naked UK is coming back. This is really exciting news for him. It means he’s got a hit on his hands as reaching a third series is a real milestone for any programme.
“But it’s hard to see how he will film both.
“Planning for Dating Naked is in the very, very early stages so getting a full-scale shoot in the can before August, when they also need to find a full cast of singles, is very unlikely.
“Whoever hosts the new series of Strictly will have commitments from August right through to the end of the year.”
Dating Naked follows a group of young people looking for love in an exotic villa, entirely in the nude.
It has previously been filmed in Colombia.
Rylan is among a raft of big names in the running to host the new series of Strictly after the shock exit of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman last year.
The former X Factor wannabe has previously been involved with the show as a host on its spin-off show It Takes Two.
The Sun told on Monday how auditions began on Tuesday taking place this week, according to insiders at the dance contest.
Other stars rumoured to be in the running for the plum jobs include Emma Willis, Angela Scanlon, Tom Allen, Alex Jones, Zoe Ball, Alison Hammond and Bradley Walsh.
The new hosts are likely to be confirmed within days.
A spokesperson for Strictly said: “Plans for Strictly Come Dancing 2026 will be confirmed in due course.”
Strictly’s new series will also see a batch of new professionals dancers join the show.
In recent weeks it has emerged Michelle Tsiakkas, Nadiya Bychkova, Luba Mushtuk and Gorka Marquez have all left.
