STUNNED Viewers Applaud Dylan Dreyer’s Brave Confession Over Secret Miscarriage Ordeal 🤍✨

Today show host Dylan Dreyer has revealed she suffered from a secret, painful miscarriage while on vacation.

Dreyer, 44, shares three children, Calvin, nine, Oliver, six, and Russell, four, with her ex-husband, Brian Fichera.

During an episode of her podcast Today’s The Parent Chat with Dylan Dreyer, the TV star opened up about her experience with pregnancy loss while talking with guests Nick Viall and his wife, Natalie Joy Viall.

Natalie has been open about how she suffered multiple miscarriages herself.

‘I’ve suffered one miscarriage, and we were on a group vacation, so there were just, like, a lot of people around, and everybody’s happy, everyone’s on vacation,’ Dreyer recalled during the episode.

‘I was hiding the fact that I was pregnant, so I’m like pretending to drink, but not really drinking, and that night is kind of when the miscarriage happened,’ she continued.

‘In addition to hiding the fact that I was pregnant, [I remember also hiding that I was] dealing with this miscarriage.’

Dreyer remembered ‘crying in her bed’ and said she felt ‘so much pain,’ but didn’t feel like she could talk to anyone about it.

‘I’m like, man, I wish I could share this with someone, and you can’t always do that,’ Dreyer explained.

Later in the podcast episode, Dreyer also spoke about her experience with secondary infertility, which is when you’re unable to conceive after previously giving birth.

‘I was scared to death to tell anybody about it, because, I was like, well, everybody’s gonna judge me because I already have one child, and there are a lot of people who can’t have one child, and here I am, how dare you want a second child,’ Dreyer said.

Thankfully, her doctors were able to figure out what was causing her difficulty to conceive – and it was scar tissue in her uterus.

‘My uterus was scarred shut,’ Dreyer said.

‘There was a reason why I kept having miscarriages, and I couldn’t have any more kids,’ she explained.

Ultimately, her doctor was able to clear out her scar tissue, and she was able to have two more children.

It’s not the first time that Dreyer has opened up about her fertility struggles.

In 2019, she penned an emotional essay on TODAY where she poured her feelings out about secondary infertility.

At the time, she shared her plans to undergo IVF, but found out shortly before she was supposed to start the medication that she was pregnant and had conceived naturally.

‘Brian and I have been going through all this without anyone knowing because these are all private things… aren’t they?’ Dreyer wrote at the time.

‘Why do women (and their partners) have to go through all these ups and downs in the dark?’ she continued.

‘Smiling on TV when I want to burst out in tears, playing it cool on TV when I want to jump up and down in excitement… I have been dealing with so many intense emotions and it’s time to just put them all out there.’

Dreyer has remained equally as open about her divorce from Fichera.

The TV personality filed divorce paperwork on March 10, after she initially shared in July 2025 that both she and Fichera, who had tied the knot in 2012, had separated.

In November, Dreyer opened up about the split while on the Today show and said she and Fichera had ‘reframed our relationship.’

‘We’re no longer husband and wife. And all those things that were broken – I don’t hold them against [him],’ she said.

She added: ‘Because we’ve accepted they’re broken. That’s why we separated. Now let’s move forward as friends.’

The TV personality added that she also no longer gets ‘mad at those other things that I was getting mad at before, because just like a friend you give them a little more grace when you’re not married to it.’

Dreyer expressed that she feels like she can be a ‘better friend’ to Fichera ‘than a wife.’

She also explained that both she and her now-ex-husband will be in their children’s lives moving forward.

‘I want their dad in their life. They need that. They need both the dynamic of a mother and a father, and we’re providing that to them in the best way possible,’ she said.
