Bobby Norris left ITV viewers in shock as he unveiled his new look after undergoing a facelift at the age of 39 â following a decade of âabusing fillersâ and online trolling.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star took to This Morning on Wednesday to reveal his revamped face after travelling to Turkey to go under the knife earlier this year.
Bobby, 39, spoke openly about the experience with show hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard as he gave his reasons for undergoing the surgery despite his young age.
Admitting he is âstill swollenâ from the string of major surgeries, which took place in March and included a neck and face lift, and a a lower blepharoplasty, the reality TV star defended his decision to go under the knife.
The surgeries involved lifting, tightening, and repositioning muscles and skin on his face, neck and around his eyes to create a more youthful appearance.
Explaining the reasons why he opted for surgery, Bobby explained that âabusing fillersâ for ten years left his skin âlike a deflated balloonâ.

âWhat has he done?â Bobby Norris left This Morning viewers in shock on Wednesday as he unveiled his new look on This Morning, (left) and revealed how a decade of âabusing fillersâ and online trolls led him to have a facelift aged just 39
Explaining the reasons why he opted for surgery, Bobby explained that âabusing fillersâ for ten years left his skin âlike a deflated balloonâ

He told Ben and Cat: I was really abusing fillers, and for a ten-year window. I was going every 12 weeks⊠Skin is about elasticity and Iâd stretched it, itâs like filling up a balloon for ten years and then one day trying to pop the balloon, itâs going to be stretched out and baggyâ

Social media lover Bobby has shared pictures of his buff physique on Instagram

Bobby has changed his appearance dramatically since these shirtless pictures were taken on the beach back in 2014
He told Ben and Cat: âIâll be really honest, Iâve always documented everything, but I was really abusing fillers, and for a ten-year window. I was going every 12 weeks â some people donât go to the hairdressers that often.
âThere was just nothing subtle about it and itâs so important for people to realise, although fillers arenât permanent itâs not a surgery, thereâs always a line you can cross.
âSkin is about elasticity and Iâd stretched it, itâs like filling up a balloon for ten years and then one day trying to pop the balloon, itâs going to be stretched out and baggy.
âI was like a space hopper, so by the time I removed them all, there wasnât going to be a cream on a market that was going to get me there.
âIâd had health problems last year, but the doctor was quite honest â I was having so many tests done, thereâs more of my blood in fridges around Essex than Mounjaro.
âThe lovely doctor said, âWeâve got a specialist here⊠You could be dead in twelve hoursâ and in your head you think, and this sounds really crazy to say, âWell, I canât die, Iâm going to Sheesh tonightâ.
âAt my age you donât expect to hear that, and I thought, we all have these age things in our heads and I thought, why am I waiting for my 40s to correct something [I want to do].
âIâm waiting for my 40s but tomorrow ainât guaranteed, and do what makes you feel better, and I was just always honest about it.
âI know I would get torn a new one on social media being in my 30s.â
Defending his decision to showcase the process of recovering from the surgery on social media, Bobby continued: âThere are a lot of people, and no tea, no shade, that arenât open about it.
âI just donât believe in lying to people who have followed me and watched me for 15 years because itâs just not achievable through honey and oatmeal scrubs.
âWe all know certain people who stand on a red carpet and go, âeight hours sleep, two litres of H20 and a honey and oatmeal scrubâ and you think, âdarling, donât lie to peopleâ.
âThereâs the influencer thing, they go up the David Lloyd, other gyms are available, and they will do three squats on the tripod and then they go on a five-day retreat and they come back trying to be a Kardashian.
âItâs not fair to the people that follow them, like we had magazines when I was growing up, thankfully we didnât have social media, but I think youâve just got to be really honest.â

Asked by Cat whether he felt heâd now âdone enoughâ when it comes to surgery, Bobby refused to rule out going under the knife again

He has been very open about his transformation over the years

Bobby recently shared new pictures of his swollen and bruised face with fans after undergoing cosmetic surgery

Bobby underwent a hair transplant in Turkey at the Elithair clinic in January 2025 to transform his hairline
Not shying away from the recovery process, Bobby admitted it had been in âdiscomfortâ for a period of time after the surgery and relief on âpain reliefâ.
Asked by show host Ben if he worries about having âregretsâ over the surgery later down the line, Bobby hit back: âI had no option where Iâd stretched [the skin].
âWhen we went into lockdown [during coronavirus], ITV were playing a lot of old TOWIEs â and itâs like looking through a photo album and it was a decade of my life, different nose, different teeth.
âOver the course of a few weeks, I could see what trolls had been saying for years, and you donât notice subtle things about yourself when youâre changing them and it wasnât until I sat back in lockdown, then I started to get into my fitness.
âFor me, I thought, I wanted to remove all my fillers but I had a crossed a line so, I canât really regret having the face lift because this is almost corrective of the abuse I had given myself.
âItâs never Iâm following a fashion with my things, Iâm almost correcting my stupidity of abusing fillers and, I think itâs really important for people to know.
âDo whatever makes you happy if itâs for you, but with fillers, you can cross a line.â
Asked by Cat whether he felt heâd now âdone enoughâ when it comes to surgery, Bobby refused to rule out going under the knife again.
He added: âI know the right answer to sit here and say, and Iâm not going to lie to you, itâs impossible for me to say and I know the reality is, I probably will.
âI canât lie and say I wouldnât have any more. I donât know, I think body dysmorphia is kind of a thing⊠itâs never something that I just rush into.â
Fans soon flooded X, formerly Twitter, to dish out their thoughts on Bobbyâs new look, with one penning: âWhat has he done?â
Another chimed in: âThis is just sad. So young to get that done and donât want to be mean but just didnât need it,â as a third wrote: âSorry, but this isnât normal. Heâs not even 40. Thereâs no need for all this surgery.â
A fourth asked: âWhy has he done that to himself?â while a fifth agreed: âOh Bobby what have you done, youâre such a lovely man you didnât need this done.â
Earlier this month, Bobby shared new pictures of his swollen and bruised face with fans after undergoing more cosmetic surgery.
He shocked his followers earlier last month by revealing his painful face.
Taking to Instagram, he shared a video taken while he was still in hospital at the time of his surgery, along with tips to fans.
In the clip, Bobbyâs face was extremely swollen, with his eye lids red and puffy, leaving him struggling to see. He said: âI had a really bad nightâs sleep last night, didnât really sleep much. My eyes are very sore and dry today.â
Bobby joined TOWIE in 2012 and became known for his friendship with Gemma Collins and romances with the likes of ex Harry Derbidge.
In 2024 he was forced to shut down speculation he was undergoing gender reassignment surgery after having multiple cosmetic treatments, transforming his appearance.
Telling followers: âIâve had upper left blepharoplasty, an upper eye lid surgery. Iâve had my buccal fat removed from my cheeks, Iâve had liposuction under my chin and 360 body liposuction.â
He has previously admitted to âfalling down the rabbit hole of having fillersâ after being offered free treatments during his time on TOWIE.
Last year, Bobby spoke about the realisation he had gone âtoo farâ, admitting: âSometimes you arenât aware of how you look until you see certain pictures or a paparazzi shot. I donât look like me anymore.â
Cosmetic surgery expert Dr Mo Hamed, who specialises in natural aesthetics, previously told Daily Mail: âWhen Bobby started on TOWIE, he was very baby faced, given his young age, with minimal to no treatments.
âThroughout the years, heâs had multiple cosmetic procedures including Botox, jawline filler, and cheek filler but now Bobby has taken his adjustments to the next level by undergoing surgical, non-reversible enhancements.
âHe has recently spoken about having his buccal fat removed, which is where a surgeon takes the fat between your cheek bones and your jawline to give the client a more contoured and sunken in model appearance and chiselled jawline.
âBut the longterm impact of losing your buckle fat pad can be disastrous because it can help to give the face a more youthful look as you get older. Bobby has also described having 360 liposuction.â
