Vicky Pattison has declared ‘we’re back’ as she reunites with Pete Wicks for a much-loved show. The reality stars are close pals and have both been seen enjoying a spin on the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom floor.

But Vicky has revealed that she and Pete will be returning to the small screen on Celebrity Gogglebox, which is back on Channel 4 from this Friday (June 5).

They’ll once again be sharing their reactions to that week’s TV and news highlights alongside a number of other famous faces following the end of the latest series of the original show last week.

As well as Vicky and Pete, Vernon Kay and Paddy McGuinness will take their place on the sofa once again, as will Happy Mondays stars Bez and Shaun Ryder, Roman and Martin Kemp, Diversity’s Ashley Banjo and Perri Kiely, and Nick Grimshaw, who will again be joined by his niece, Liv.

Sharing the news of her and Pete’s return to the popular programme alongside pictures from filming, Vicky wrote on Instagram: “AAAANNNNDDDD WE’RE BACK!!!!!! Super excited to be getting back on the sofa with this fella for the next series of @c4gogglebox, starting this Friday at 9pm on @channel4!! Let’s go @p_wicks01… (I swear he’s happier about it than he looks in this pic.”

And fans were delighted as they responded to the update. @livelaughlovevickyp commented: “Yayyy this is exciting!!! can’t wait to watch.” @jlstostayingrelevant said: “Yesssss!!!! Happy Lizz right now.” @strictlysjowita wrote: “Get innnn! so excited to watch.” @jasonmufc85 added: “Simply amazing and can’t wait to this very shortly of course.”

It comes after Vicky was seen apologising to fans last month as she noted she had stepped back from social media before sharing a health update. The presenter and reality TV star has previously told how she was repeatedly told by medical experts that she wasn’t ill, even though she experienced “suicidal thoughts” and several other symptoms.

In the end, it took Vicky, 38, five years to be diagnosed with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), a very severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and the star previously explained that she only found out after visiting a private doctor – something that very few people have the chance to do.

After fans noticed an unusual absence from social media, the former Geordie Shore star shared a typed-out message on her Instagram Story on May 7. She wrote to her loyal following: “I’m sorry that I haven’t been very present on my socials this week… I’m going to try and be better. I’ve been experimenting with a new treatment plan for my PMDD and it’s just taking me a minute to feel like myself again.” She added: “Love you all and thank you for baring with me [face holding back tears emoji].”
