Jenny Newby and Lee Riley, the beloved duo from Gogglebox, have shared a heartfelt goodbye with fans as the latest series comes to an end. Posting on their joint Instagram account, Lee said: âWell guys, thatâs it, the last of the show this evening. I hope youâve enjoyed all 16 weeks as much as we have. Thank you for all your support through this series.â
Jenny added warmly: âYeah and we hope to see you all again in August,â with Lee confirming their return at the end of August/September. Fans quickly flooded the comments with messages of love and support: âYou two never fail to make me smile, you are both the reason I watch Gogglebox!â and âLooking forward to the laughs againâŠespecially from you two!â
The pair, who first joined Gogglebox in 2014, quickly became fan favourites with their witty commentary and candid reactions, representing a key part of the showâs charm for nearly a decade. Their easygoing humour and chemistry have made them an enduring part of viewersâ weekly routines.
The farewell comes amid a sad tribute to Ken Harwood, who passed away aged 77. Ken appeared on the show from 2020 to 2022 alongside his wife Anne, to whom he had been married for 55 years. Studio Lambert, the production company behind Gogglebox, said: âHe will be dearly missed by his wife Anne, sons Simon and Ross, daughter-in-law Elle, grandchildren Freya and Tristram, and all who knew him.â A tribute to Ken was featured at the end of a recent episode, honouring his memory and impact on the show.
As Jenny and Lee sign off for the summer, fans continue to celebrate their humour, warmth, and authenticity, eagerly awaiting their return later this year. The duoâs journey highlights why Gogglebox has remained a cultural staple, bringing laughter, relatability, and heartfelt moments to millions of viewers across the UK
