For its Season 51 finale, Saturday Night Live threw everything at the wall in a shocking, Jeffrey Epstein-filled cold open.

The cold open poked fun at the alleged friendship between Trump and the convicted sex trafficker, a topic that SNL has mocked ruthlessly at the âWeekend Updateâ desk all season.
âMan, we had some fun times together, didnât we, Donny?â Epstein mused. âWe should have taken more pictures.â
The sketch ended with the two singing âJust the Two of Us,â by Bill Withers and Grover Washington, Jr.
At one point, it looked like the two were about to kiss, but Epstein playfully turned his head away.

The episode is the showâs last chance until the fall to take any shots at the Trump administration, so the cold open used a Christmas Carol-themed format to pay tribute to three of the seasonâs most iconic impressions: Ashley Padillaâs Kristi Noem, Colin Jostâs Pete Hegseth, and Aziz Ansariâs Kash Patel.
For Noem, who Trump fired as Secretary of Homeland Security in March, the vision showed Noem six months from nowâstarring in ads for vacuum cleaners.
âItâs the best way to clean up that mess your dog made, besides a gun,â Noem joked, in what might be SNLâs final joke about how Noem once bragged about shooting her own dog.

Ferrellâs Epstein showed a vision of the future where Hegseth and Patel were still partying in a bar together, much like they were in last weekâs cold open.
When Hegseth started reading a podcast ad promoting âPoland Sprung, the first-ever hard water,â Trump took it as a good sign.
âWell, if Peteâs podcasting, I guess that means that the war in Iran is over,â Trump said.
Epstein replied, âYep, we came in second.â

Ansariâs Patel also delivered his own ad read, making fun of the real Patelâs hobby of creating personalized bourbon bottles.
âShoutout to our sponsor: my own personal line of cologne, Incompetence for Men,â Patel said. âEvery bottle is full of my forehead sweat from my many Senate grillings.â

The cold open also poked fun at Trumpâs cankles, which received renewed media scrutiny after the presidentâs whirlwind visit to China this week.

Trumpâs swollen ankles, combined with the bruising on his hands, have spurred constant health concerns around the 79-year-old president throughout his second term. SNLâs Trump appeared to share those concerns:
âBoy, are my legs swollen,â Trump said. He pulled a prop leg onto his desk and remarked, âThat doesnât look good at all.â
