Melanie Sykes Opens Up on Heartbreaking Hair Loss: “I’m Two-Thirds Bald”
Melanie Sykes has shared a deeply personal update on her ongoing battle with alopecia, revealing that she now feels she’s “two-thirds bald.” The 55-year-old TV presenter posted candid photos to Facebook showing thinning patches across her scalp, giving fans a rare glimpse into the impact of the autoimmune condition.
Despite the emotional toll, Melanie remains determined to raise awareness and tackle her health struggles head-on. She told her followers: “I’ve got an autoimmune condition, I am losing my hair, I keep having crazy inflammation all over and I am working on healing. I’m two-thirds bald, really… thank god I can laugh about it.”
Over the past year, she has experimented with wigs, recently sharing her excitement about trying new styles. “I cannot believe it’s been two weeks since I sat in this chair and tried out some wigs. My hair has been coming out really quickly, and even after a year and a half of losing it, it can still feel alarming,” she added.
