Chilling new photos of a ‘person of interest’ wanted in connection with Charlie Kirk’s assassination have been released as the manhunt for the suspect continued.
The Utah Department of Public Safety released the new surveillance pictures Thursday night showing the unidentified suspect wearing a dark, long sleeved shirt with an American flag on the chest, a gray baseball cap and sunglasses.
He also carried a black backpack as he went up and down the stairs.
It is now believed the killer shot at Kirk from a distance of 175 yards and then fled into a residential neighborhood near Utah Valley University.
Surveillance footage showed a dark-clothed figure walking through a residential neighborhood outside of Utah Valley University before the fatal shooting, and then sprinting away afterward.
The figure, who matches the description of the FBI‘s person of interest, seemed to be walking with a limp as he passed through the neighborhood before the shooting – leaving some to believe he may have been concealing his rifle in his pants.
The high-powered rifle was later found in the woods nearby.
Authorities are now offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the killer’s arrest, after claiming they knew the name of the person of interest, but did not publicly reveal their identity.
