Zoe Ball admits she is “constantly learning” as she opened up about her home life. The BBC Radio 2 presenter shares children Woody and Nelly with ex-husband Norman Cook.
Zoe, 55, met Norman, known to many as DJ Fatboy Slim, in Ibiza in 1998 when they were both working on BBC Radio One. Romance blossomed between the pair and they tied the knot in 1999. However 17 years later the pair announced they were going their separate ways, splitting in September 2016. The former couple continue to co-parent their children together.

On her Radio 2 show, Zoe admits she feels as though she is “constantly” learning from Woody and Nelly. It came after celebrity chef Jamie Oliver said he gets his wife Jools to step-in when it comes to practical parenting.
Zoe said: “That’s the great thing with parenting, I do it with Norm, I’ll just call Norm and go, ‘This happened, you do this bit…’ One of you gets to be a good cop, one of you gets to be a bad cop, or you share.
“And it carries out, even after they have flown the nest they’ll still be calling in needing you in different ways. I really feel that I am constantly learning how to parent from my children.”
The Circle star Woody, 24, has previously spoken about how his parents have adjusted to a more wholesome lifestyle after ditching wild nights. “In the last five years, it’s been funny watching my parents take up gardening,” he shared.
Woody revealed his father, who has performed at festivals such as Glastonbury and Woodstock, now owns a cafe in Hove, reports BristolLive.

The 62-year-old can regularly be spotted working in the Big Beach Cafe wearing a name tag that simply reads “Norm”. The venue’s website describes it as a “celebration of everything we love about Hove”.
Speaking to MailOnline, Woody said: “These crazy party people I grew up with are now gardening, making puzzles and working in the local café. It’s very funny to see that transitional period, just as I’m kind of leaving the nest and now at the start of something big for me in music.”
Last year Zoe stepped down from the Radio 2 Breakfast Show after six years. She was replaced by former Radio 1 presenter Scott Mills, with Zoe later returning to the station on Saturday afternoons.
She said the move was so she could “focus on my family”. Woody added: “It’s lovely seeing my mum more, because obviously she’s had quite a weird schedule for the last few years.”
Zoe co-hosted the BBC’s Saturday morning children’s magazine Live & Kicking alongside Jamie Theakston for three years from 1996. Then in 1998 she was the first female host of the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, a position she held until 2000.
