The siblings buried the hatchet after the Britain’s Got Talent star had a meltdown at Heathrow airport and left Gerry a distressing voicemail
Singing star Susan Boyle has spoken of her joy after ending a feud lasting more than two years with her brother Gerry.
Delighted Subo told the Sunday Mirror: “I’m very happy, it’s a great relief and I’m looking to the future with a happy smile. Everything is hunky dory and fantastic.”
The pair fell out over ugly rumours that split the Boyle family.
But they buried the hatchet after troubled Susan, 55, had a meltdown at Heathrow airport and left Gerry a distressing voicemail.
He recalled: “I’d never heard her sound so down on the phone. I was really concerned. She didn’t sound like she was in a good place.

“We hadn’t spoken for two and a half years but when all is said and done I am her brother. I realised how sad it was that we didn’t speak – and that it shouldn’t be that way.”
Susan, now worth an estimated £22million after finding fame on Britain’s Got Talent , had never given up hope of healing the rift.
She and Gerry had a massive row in December 2013, when other family members claimed he persuaded her to give him £50,000 by threatening to commit suicide.
The allegations divided the once close-knit Scottish family and Gerry, 62, was outraged when Susan refused to cut ties with those behind the rumours.
But the warring siblings made up after police escorted Subo from the BA lounge at Heathrow in April following a row with staff.
Gerry made urgent calls to her aides and next day Susan rang him back.
He said: “As soon as we spoke, she cheered up immediately. I told her I was here for her no matter what. She got straight in a taxi to my house.
“When she turned up, she was still quite worked up. I didn’t try to hug her because I knew it wouldn’t help. I just made her a cup of tea and tried to calm her down.
“Within five minutes, it was like we’d never been apart. It has been great to pick up the pieces.”
