Laura and Jason Kenny shared a deeply emotional announcement as they introduced their baby daughter, Lilian — a name that beautifully honors both of their mothers.

Olympic legends Laura and Jason Kenny have announced the arrival of their third child — a baby girl named Lilian Joyce Kenny, marking a deeply emotional milestone after years of fertility heartbreak.

Born on May 4, 2025 at 10:44am, Lilian weighed a healthy 8lbs, and the couple introduced her to the world through a tender Instagram post. In the photos, baby Lilian is wrapped in a soft pink blanket embroidered with “Lily,” while her excited big brothers, Albie and Monty, sit proudly beside her in matching name-embroidered jumpers.

Laura and Jason wrote that “three’s the magic number,” adding that there had only ever been one name they wanted for a daughter — a combination of both their grandmothers’ names.

The birth carries enormous emotional weight for the pair, who previously endured devastating pregnancy losses. In 2021, Laura suffered a miscarriage at nine weeks. Then, in early 2022, she required emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy, a traumatic ordeal that resulted in the loss of one of her fallopian tubes. At the time, Laura admitted that scared didn’t even come close, saying life had pushed her to “an unbearable limit.”

Today, with baby Lilian safely in their arms, the Kennys say they finally feel their family is complete.

A wave of love quickly flooded their social media, with fellow Olympians including Denise Lewis, Sarah Storey and Rebecca Adlington sending heartfelt congratulations to the couple on their long-awaited blessing.
