Olly Murs has finally spoken out after announcing that he and his wife Amelia are expecting their second child.
The couple, who welcomed their first daughter Madison just 11 months ago in May, shared the exciting news via Instagram on Friday, revealing that their family is about to grow again.
During Saturday’s episode of the Heart radio show with his friend Mark Wright, Olly, 40, opened up for the first time about the joyful news, admitting he didn’t expect it to happen so soon.

As Mark congratulated him, he asked Olly how “buzzing” he felt.
Olly responded: “Mate, you know those weeks where you’re bursting to tell everyone? It’s been such exciting news for us. Total shock — we didn’t expect it to happen this quickly. But we’re over the moon. We just want to grow our little family.”
Mark praised Olly and Amelia, telling them: “You should be so proud. You’re the best parents to Maddie, and now you’re giving her a little sibling. It’s just amazing. I love you guys!”
Olly laughed: “Looks like I’m about to start all over again soon!”
Mark joked back: “Now you’ll know what sleepless nights feel like again — and this time I get to tease you!”
On Friday, Olly and Amelia had shared an adorable black-and-white video on Instagram. In the clip, the couple was seen walking through the park with little Madison sitting on Olly’s shoulders, wearing a denim jacket embroidered with “BIG SIS,” while Amelia held a reel of baby scan photos.
The caption read: “We’re so egg-cited to share this… Another Baby Murs on the way!”
Olly and Amelia, who married in July 2023, announced the arrival of Madison on April 17. Just 48 hours after her birth, Olly returned to touring with Take That, juggling his new responsibilities as a father with his career.
Speaking to the audience at his gigs, Olly admitted he felt guilty about being away from home, saying: “It’s been crazy. On one hand, I have a beautiful baby girl and an amazing wife doing all the late nights and nappy changes, and on the other hand, I’m on tour. I felt terrible!”
Last month, Olly emotionally confessed that months later, he broke down in tears, realizing he missed precious bonding moments with his newborn daughter:
“At the time, I didn’t process it. But months later, while talking with Amelia, I just broke down. I never got that early time to really know her,” he said during his Heart Breakfast show appearance.
Despite his guilt, Mark reassured him: “You did it for her future, mate.”
Even while touring, Olly made it a point to race home to Essex whenever possible to spend time with Amelia and Madison.
“I’ve done the nappies, I’ve stayed up late — and honestly, she’s just incredible,” Olly gushed.
“I never imagined I’d be a dad. It’s unreal. I’m so proud — and being on this tour while experiencing all of this has made it an unforgettable time for me.”
