A Sister Remembered: Coleen Nolan Marks Linda’s Birthday With Poignant Tribute CQ1✨

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has honoured her older sister Linda on what would have been her 67th birthday.

Linda tragically died at age 65 in January last year from contracting double pneumonia after battling cancer for over 20 years. She was laid to rest in Blackpool, where her family and countless friends showed their respects.

Coleen Nolan shares a tribute on Linda’s birthday

Never forgotten, Coleen paid tribute to Linda in a heartfelt post on Instagram today (February 23).

While sharing a black and white image of the pair looking glad on the TV Choice Awards red carpet, the Irish singer wrote: “To my sister Linda on your birthday, thinking of you today, missing your laughter and humour.”

Coleen, who is currently embarking on a UK tour, added: “Tonight, I’ll be dedicating the show to you.”

She concluded: “Love and miss you always, Col xx.”

At the time of her death, Coleen shared: “I am utterly devastated by the passing of my sister, Linda. Linda was a beacon of love, kindness and strength. Her wit, humour and laughter was infectious. Her presence would light up any room. Linda had a heart full of compassion and always knew how to bring comfort and jot to those around her.”

‘She will be shining down on you’

Dearly missed, Coleen was supported following her heartwarming post.

“Lovely words, so sad she isn’t here,” one user wrote.

“Ah, you’re in my thoughts, Coleen. So lovely that you are dedicating the show to Linda. She will be shining down on you,” another person shared.

“Happy heavenly birthday, Linda. Sending you a big hug, Coleen,” a third remarked.

“Happy Heavenly Birthday, Linda, you’ll always be missed,” a fourth said.

Meanwhile, a fifth echoed: “Thinking of you Coleen, it’s tough, you must miss her. Stay strong.”
