I’M A Celeb fans have seemingly worked out the reason why David Haye is ‘bullying’ Adam Thomas – and why campmates are too scared to boot him off the ITV show.
Adam and former heavyweight boxer David clashed TWICE last week, with Ant and Dec and Gemma Collins even speaking out about the spats and David’s behaviour.
The first spat between the men came when the Waterloo Road star broke camp rules, leaving David furious on Thursday.
They then clashed again on Friday when the actor, who suffers from an autoimmune disease, said he didn’t feel well and didn’t want to participate a trial.
Fans now think they know why David is taking aim at Adam.
On Reddit, one fan penned: “David’s projection on Adam is strong!”
They then added how they “find it very interesting how all the things he is accusing Adam of, David has been himself while on the show”.
“This will give David a shield from reflecting on how useless he has been in the challenges, while simultaneously dimming Adams shine,” the Reddit user went on.
“In addition, it is a ploy to smear and devalue Adam to the other campmates.
“It’s like he feels threatened by how likable Adam is, alongside how capable he is in the trials, and is projecting all his own insecurities through his own failings onto Adam,” they went on.
Meanwhile, other fans speculated that the reason the celebrities are not voting him out is because he’s popular and they’re worried that if they vote for him to go and he doesn’t, they’ll have to deal with the fallout in camp.
Commenting on the original Reddit post, one person penned: “He wont win. I wouldn’t he surprised if he goes on Monday.
“The rest of camp don’t seem to like him. Unless he’s been massively useful around the camp offscreen then he brings no other use to the camp.”
While someone else pointed out that “the other campmates might be too worried to vote for him, in case he doesn’t get enough votes and they have to deal with the fall out”.
The boxer’s most recent comments towards Adam from Friday night’s instalment of the show stemmed from Adam saying he did not feel well and did not want to do a trial.
But “Who gives a s***,” was David’s rattled response.
When Beverley Callard urged him to have some empathy, David snapped back: “He’s a grown ass man.
“I don’t like guys when they’re a bit useless. There it is.”
Fans were outraged by David’s comments.
“David Haye, what a bully. Times like this he should be chucked out for being a d***head,” penned one person on X at the time.
“How has David not been removed for bullying yet?” asked a second.
David has caused quite a stir in the jungle since his arrival in camp.
Last week he was accused of “sexism” by viewers after a controversial rant in front of his All Stars campmates about his “ugly duckling” girlfriend.
He was previously slammed by viewers for making digs about Gemma’s weight and sending Beverley, 69, to the basic camp when the series began earlier this month.
