Big Brother star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace has shared an emotional update with her followers after saying she was bitten by an XL Bully dog.
The reality TV personality, who became widely known after appearing on Big Brother in 2006, posted about the incident on Instagram over the weekend. Aisleyne explained that she had been spending time with the dog shortly before things changed suddenly.
In her posts, she described herself as a dog lover and said the experience had left her deeply shaken. She also shared that she needed hospital care following the bite.
Rather than focusing only on fear, Aisleyne’s message appeared to be one of caution and awareness. She urged people to understand the responsibility that comes with caring for powerful dogs, especially around children and families.
She said she felt grateful that the injury had not been to her face or neck, and also expressed relief that a child had not been involved. At the same time, she admitted she felt conflicted because of her love for dogs.
Her comments come as XL Bully ownership remains a sensitive subject in the UK, following changes to the law in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Restrictions around the breed have led to ongoing debate, with animal welfare groups continuing to argue for prevention, education and responsible dog control across all breeds.
For Aisleyne, the update was both personal and emotional. Many followers responded with concern, support and messages wishing her a safe recovery.
The story has also opened a wider conversation about how important training, control and awareness can be when living with strong dogs.
