Her Boys, His Baby: Louise Redknapp Breaks Silence on Jamie’s New Life — and It’s Colder Than You Think. Jamie’s Baby Joy, Louise’s Bite: Redknapp Family Rift Deepens as Old Wounds Reopen

Louise Redknapp has subtly reignited the conversation around her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp’s remarriage and new family, following his recent remarks about their eldest son Charley struggling to adjust after his baby brother’s arrival.

Jamie, 51, who married model Frida Andersson in 2021, revealed on The Romesh Ranganathan Show that breaking the news of Frida’s pregnancy to Charley “went down like a lead balloon.” He said, “His world had been turned upside down — you’re married, everything feels straightforward, and then you meet someone else and you get married again.”

While Jamie’s comments sparked empathy from fans, they also prompted Louise’s past reflections to resurface. Speaking in 2022, the Eternal singer admitted she felt she had to be the “one staple” for her sons as their family dynamic shifted. “To say this in the most respectful way, my boys’ lives changed dramatically — and then it changed again when obviously Jamie got married and had a family. I just felt I needed to be their constant.”

Louise, 49, has since moved on with businessman Drew Michael, praising him for how he’s embraced her family. “He’s really great with my boys, a great friend to them. I feel very lucky to have met him,” she said, adding that Drew’s nine years her junior doesn’t faze her. “We live in a society where if it’s the other way round it doesn’t get talked about — but it does get brought up.”

As Jamie continues his new chapter with Frida and their son Raphael, Louise’s words remain a poignant reminder of the quiet strength she’s carried through the family’s evolving story.
