A Liberal Democrat MP has had the whip suspended due to an ongoing police investigation, the party has said.
Cameron Thomas, the MP for Tewkesbury, has also had his party membership suspended.
He was arrested by Gloucestershire Police on Wednesday night, it is understood.
The Liberal Democrats said they were “unable to comment further” on the ongoing investigation.
He is also a former RAF officer, and has represented Tewkesbury since the 2024 General Election.
