Sharon Osbourne holds onto daughter Kelly in first public appearance since Ozzy’s death

Sharon Osbourne has stepped out for her first public appearance following the death of her beloved rockstar husband Ozzy Osbourne in July this year, which saw the nation mourn him

Sharon Osbourne has been snapped at her first public appearance following the death of her husband Ozzy in July this year.

The 73 year old music manager and TV star made a return to the spotlight after four months away as she was accompanied by her daughter Kelly as they attended a glitzy event in London, hosted by Rebecca Vallance.

Sharon’s outing comes just over four months after her rock icon husband Ozzy’s death at the age of 76. He died at their Buckinghamshire home in July, just weeks after returning to the stage with his band Black Sabbath for a farewell concert.

Ozzy was mourned not only by his family but fans across the nation and the world and thousands stepped out in Birmingham to pay tribute to the Prince of Darkness before his private funeral service. Sharon was photographed looking emotional as she stepped out to view the hundreds of tributes placed for her beloved husband at Black Sabbath bench in his home town.

Since then, she has kept a relatively low-profile. But, she got glammed up to step out alongside her daughter at the event at Aki London. Sharon dazzled in a long sequinned dress with full-length sleeves and shoulder pads. She accessorised the gown with a brown necklace, a black clutch bag and drop earrings.

The TV star smiled at the camera as she held tightly onto her daughter Kelly’s hand. Kelly wore a pink and silver sequinned halter-neck gown, which she accessorised with small hoop earrings and a black satin bag.

At the event they rubbed shoulders with Holly Valance, Amber Le Bon and Zara Tindall. The glamorous celebrity outing comes as Sharon’s son Jack Osbourne braves the grizzly Australian jungle in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Sharon and Kelly have been watching Jack in the jungle, with Kelly revealing Sharon’s concern over his actions on the ITV show earlier this week as Jack took on his first solo Bushtucker Trial.

As she sat beside his sister Kelly to take in the latest events, Sharon appeared to be concerned by his lack of breathing in the underwater activity. With the camera facing towards them, Kelly said: “Watching I’m A Celebrity and they cut to commercials at the most poignant bit. I was holding my breath, and I realised half way through the first commercial I was still holding my breath. “I mean come on he’s in a chamber of water and he only has two minutes.” Sharon then chimes in: “With lobsters and toads..” “Come on, we need to know what’s happening,” Kelly went on.

As the trial continued Kelly praised her brother for completing each section while mum Sharon watched on with her head in her hands – at one point Mrs O was seen nervously tapping her daughter as she struggled to watch him take on the challenge. However, both were proud as he completed the trial – with Sharon punching the air in celebration.

Meanwhile, before Jack entered the jungle Sharon candidly opened up on her struggles with sleep in the wake of Ozzy’s death as Jack and Kelly launched their first episode of their podcast The Osbournes in months.

On it, Sharon confessed: “I hate going to bed at night.” Kelly then said: “I mean, I slept with you for the first two months so that you weren’t on your own. But then I felt like you needed some space.

“I wake up and for the first three seconds I feel normal. And then I remember everything. Mornings are the hardest for me.

“What is the morning? Because it happened in the morning. And I used to spend most of my time with Dad in the morning.”
