It’s been a heartbreaking year for Victoria Beckham, thanks to her ongoing feud with eldest son Brooklyn. And now, she’s been drawn into another bust-up, as Holly Ramsay has been turning to her for support amid her own family turmoil ahead of her wedding to Adam Peaty.
‘Victoria and Holly have always been very close. Vic is like an auntie to Holly and has always been there for her,’ we’re told. ‘In the last couple of years, that has developed into an even closer friendship. Vic has been on hand to help Holly cope with the pressures of fame – she knows what it’s like to suddenly be all over the news because of your relationship. She went through that with David, so her advice has been invaluable.’

Vic has known Holly, 25, since she was young, thanks to her close friendship with Holly’s parents, Gordon and Tana Ramsay. Vic, 51, and the bride-to-be showed how close they are as they posed together at Holly’s Soho Farmhouse hen do at last month, with the fashion designer sharing snaps captioned, ‘Girls night!!!’
Vic and Holly are said to have grown closer in the wake of the Peaty family feud after most of the groom’s relatives had their invitations to the December nuptials withdrawn. Olympic swimmer Adam’s sister Bethany and her fiancé Dan Rogerson – a convicted drug dealer, who was jailed for possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply in 2017 – are understood to be the only family members now invited.
Adam’s mum Caroline hasn’t been shy with sharing her feelings about the fallout, which apparently kicked off after she didn’t receive an invite to Holly’s hen do amid claims she might ‘have stuck out a bit’ at the glam event. In an interview, she claimed that her son was ‘in Gordon’s clutches’, adding, ‘I can’t help but feel like they are pulling him away from me.’
She also appeared to take a swipe at the couple on social media, posting a quote in reference to Christmas that read, ‘It wasn’t the presents, it was the presence of my parents who did everything they could to make the magic happen.’
With her dirty laundry being aired so publicly, our insider says that Holly has been relying on VB’s advice. ‘Vic has been a real rock over the last couple of weeks,’ we’re told. ‘She’s said Holly needs to just shut out the noise – avoid reading the negative stories and stay off social media. Holly has a really close circle of friends and Vic told her to lean on them and not let this situation ruin what will be the happiest day of her life.’
The Ramsay-Peaty drama has echoes of the ongoing Beckham family rift with eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz, who are said to now have no contact with David or Victoria. As heat has reported, Holly’s wedding is also set to be an emotional day for Vic, too, because, Brooklyn has been invited, meaning that mother and son could finally come face to face after months of estrangement. ‘For Vic, the idea of seeing him after everything that’s happened is totally overwhelming. This will be the first time she has seen Brooklyn in months. She’s not sure how she’ll handle that,’ our insider previously said. ‘The thought of it makes her physically sick with nerves. She’s terrified it could make things even worse if he decides to keep his distance.’
However, we’re told that VB will put on a brave face for Holly’s wedding. ‘Both she and David are really looking forward to celebrating Holly’s big day. They’ve known her since she was a little girl and are so excited about the idea of seeing her tying the knot with Adam. They can’t wait to be a part of her special day.’
