As NCIS: Origins prepares for its highly anticipated finale, Caleb Foote has hinted that fans should brace themselves for emotional revelations, heartbreaking choices, and unanswered questions that may linger long after the credits roll đŻïžâš

âNCIS: Originsâ fans, start girding your loins: Despite its focus on the intricacies of bureaucracy, the CBS dramaâs Season 2 finale is going to be a big one.
Per the official logline, the sophomore finale, which airs Tuesday at 9/8c, finds âthe Camp Pendleton office in danger of being shut downâ as the team confronts an uncertain future. In a teaser for the episode, the NIS team is seen undergoing a âtargeted rebrandingâ as the organization finally adds the letter âCâ to its name, marking its official debut as NCIS.
But how will a story of an administrative overhaul â potentially opening the door to dull corporate-speak and pesky red tape â deliver a finale-worthy hour? âNCIS: Originsâ star Caleb Foote, who plays Randy on the CBS prequel, promises the episode will aptly reflect its title, âHollywood Ending.â
âOur fans are going to be incredibly satisfied, yet wanting so much more,â Caleb Foote tells TVLine. âWeâre going to answer so many questions and weâre going to tie beautiful bows on all sorts of different storylines, but we are going to go into Season 3 with even more questions and even more anticipation.â
Fans of the show have high expectations for the Season 2 finale after Season 1 concluded with a memorable cliffhanger leaving Lalaâs fate up in the air following a devastating car accident. Lala ultimately lived, with Season 2 following her recovery while continuing to flirt with her will-they-wonât-they relationship with Gibbs. This time around, the pairâs dynamic was further complicated by Gibbsâ brief marriage and Lalaâs dalliance with a gang member.
As we approach the Season 2 finale, both of our NIS agents are single once again, and weâve got questions: Will the team be disbanded amid the organizationâs rebrand? Is Lala over Manny, or might she reunite with him before the season ends? Will she and Gibbs finally have a heart-to-heart now that Diane is out of the picture? What could be up the sleeves of showrunners David J. North and Gina Lucita Monreal considering theyâve presented us with such an unassuming episodic synopsis?!
Foote couldnât say much about what lies ahead, but he did assure TVLine that the Season 2 ender will leave viewers wondering, âHow the heck are we going to recover from this one?â
âThe Season 1 finale was so freaking good,â he adds. âAt the time, that was the best finale Iâve ever been a part of on a television show â and I think this one tops it.â
