Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been making waves since she rejoined the Hot Topics table on The View this week amid Alyssa Farah Griffinâs maternity leave. But does this mean the conservative television personality will be staying on the ABC talk show for good?
Hasselbeck, who previously anchored The View from 2003 to 2013, kicked off her guest hosting stint by telling viewers she was âthankfulâ to be invited back on the show. âWe may have differences of opinion but we love each other and weâre stronger for it,â she announced at the top of the show Monday, when she first joined her former co-hosts at the Hot Topics table.
âIt might get a little spicy at times,â she admitted. âBut we do not hate each other. We love each other.â
And it certainly did get spicy. Itâs only been three days and Hasselbeck has stunned the hosts and the audience alike with her provocative political takes.
In one instance, she left The View audience stunned when Hasselbeck called Democrats âthe party of masks.â
âThis is the party of masks. You guys forced masks on everybody in the United States,â she said, referring to the COVID-19 mask mandates. âLike I donât want to hear, âYou canât see my face.â I just canât. I love you, but I canât.â
Sheâs also clashed with Sunny Hostin on multiple occasions on the show, especially after Hostin told her, âI think people that voted for Trump â I was not one of them, I think you were â those people wanted America first.â
So, will Hasselbeck return to The View? Or did Wednesdayâs tense broadcast mark the end of her run on the ABC talk show?
Is Elisabeth Hasselbeck on The View today?

Hasselbeck will be back on The View for Thursdayâs (March 5) broadcast.
Actor Daniel Radcliffe will also be stopping by the show to discuss his new Peacock series The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins and his Broadway play âEvery Brilliant Thing.â
Hasselbeck will later be back on Friday (March 6), with comedian Robby Hoffman set as the celebrity guest.
Itâs unclear if Hasselbeck will return to The View after Fridayâs broadcast. The Survivor alum is now the fourth guest host to fill in for Griffin, following Amanda Carpenter, Sara Eisen and Savannah Chrisley.
