Reports have emerged claiming that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor allegedly shared “highly privileged information” with Jeffrey Epstein. The claim appeared on Good Morning Britain on Monday (February 16) as Richard Madeley questioned their reporter Nick Dixon on the latest update and asked what information he was allegedly sharing. Dixon responded to explain that reports have suggested it was “sensitive and confidential” information such as trade information “relating to his time as UK trade envoy.”

He continued to explain that it has been suggested that there have been emails and briefing notes shared with Epstein from trips to the likes of Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam. Dixon explained that the allegations relate to trips that he took when he was “representing the British government”. It was explained that Andrew has continued to deny any wrongdoing, but the latest allegations is just another blow to the Royal Family.

It was explained that the claims has resulted in Vince Cable, who was business secretary at the time of the alleged emails, to call for police checks on what may have occurred. He called for checks on whether “criminal corruption has taken place”.

Cable has also called for a government investigation to assess how it may have happened; Dixon explained that Thames Valley Police were looking into the claims and that it was being discussed with the Crime Prosecution at the moment to determine whether they should progress.

The latest update comes days after members of the Royal Family issued a statement on Andrew relating to the latest release of the Epstein Files, with a statement coming directly from Buckingham Palace stating it was “ready to support” police as they assess allegations against the former prince.

It came after anti-monarchist group Republic reported the former prince to Thames Valley Police for suspected misconduct in public office an breach of official secrets over his role while he was trade envoy. Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to his friendship with Epstein.

In a statement last week, the Palace said: “The King has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct.

“While the specific claims in question are for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police we stand ready to support them as you would expect.

“As was previously stated, Their Majesties’ thoughts and sympathies have been, and remain with, the victims of any and all forms of abuse.”
