WHITE Lotus actress Aubrey Plaza has revealed she is pregnant with her first child, a year after her husband’s tragic death.
The American actress and comedienne, who played Harper in the hit HBO series, is set to be a mum for the first time aged 41.
According to People, Aubrey who has since found love with fellow actor Christopher Abbott, 40, is reportedly due to give birth this autumn.
Her happy chapter comes just over a year after her filmmaker husband Jeff Baena was found dead, aged 47, in January 2025.
The baby’s gender has not yet been revealed but a source told the publication: “It was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year”.
The couple are also said to be feeling “blessed”.
Aubrey and Christopher struck up a romance after meeting on Broadway, but have known each other for years.
They starred together in 2020 psychological flick Black Bear, but Christopher is perhaps best-known for his role in Girls as Charlie.
Meanwhile, Aubrey rose to acclaim for her role as April Ludgate on sitcom Parks and Recreation.
Away from the screen, the star has also penned a series of children’s books – which will now be perfect for her new arrival.
These include The Legend of the Christmas Witch and The Return of the Christmas Witch.
Aubrey recently told how she pranked her friends’ kids as the character at Christmas.
She told The Drew Barrymore Show: “Basically, I have my friends sign up for slots on Christmas morning if they have kids.
“And I show up when they’re opening their presents around 7.30 in the morning.
“Then I try to steal their presents.
“And so it adds this element of fright on Christmas morning — which kids love”.
The Dirty Grandpa actress’ positive family news comes just 12 months after a particularly rough time.
Her spouse Jeff, who she married in 2021, was best known for directing Indie movies including Life After Beth, Joshy and The Little Hours prior to his passing.
The U.S. Sun obtained the LA County Fire Department’s radio call which stated it dispatched a unit “to a hanging” at the address in Los Feliz.
His body was found at 10.25am by an assistant at the property, which the couple bought together in 2022.
Baena was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jeff’s family were left “devastated” and asked for privacy at the time.
The couple tied the knot over fours years ago after dating for a decade.
They kept both the engagement and marriage a secret before Aubrey described him as her “darling husband” in a touching Instagram post following the tragedy.
The post also marked the final upload of the couple together before his death.
