19-Year-Old Lexi Hughes Becomes the New Face of Superdrug — And Says Her Mum Is “The Coolest Woman I Know”
Lexi Hughes is officially stepping into her own spotlight — and the resemblance to her famous mum Amanda Holden is turning heads across the UK.
At just 19, the rising model and eldest daughter of the Britain’s Got Talent star has been revealed as the face of Superdrug’s new teen skincare line POP, a range designed specifically for young skin that doesn’t need harsh adult formulas.
And while the campaign has already dominated social feeds, Lexi insists she’s keeping her feet firmly on the ground — thanks, in part, to the woman she calls “my biggest cheerleader.”
“My Mum Lets Me Be Me — That’s the Best Part.”
Speaking about her new ambassador role, Lexi told the Daily Mail that POP’s gentle ingredients and fun packaging made the partnership feel “natural,” adding:
“The products are simple, calming, and genuinely exciting for young people. I love that they’re affordable without feeling basic.”
But even as doors open in fashion and beauty, Lexi emphasises she hasn’t lost sight of what matters:
“I’m just starting out, and Uni is really important to me. I stay focused by keeping close to my friends, my family, and doing the things I love.”
It’s a refreshingly grounded outlook — and she credits Amanda for helping her stay balanced.
“My mum is supportive, kind, smart and fun. She’s always there to guide me, but she lets me figure out my own path. She’s honestly the coolest mum.”
Amanda & Lexi: The Lookalike Duo Who Broke the Internet
Earlier this year, the mother-daughter pair went viral after fans noticed they looked almost identical in matching white bikinis on holiday. Social media quickly crowned Lexi the “mini Amanda,” a comparison she embraces with pride.
“We love fashion and we love experimenting,” Lexi says.
“It’s fun seeing how similar our taste can be.”
Her path in the industry is already accelerating: runway debut at London Fashion Week 2024
now the face of a national beauty campaign
signed with top agency Storm Models
And she’s just getting started.
The POP Campaign: A New Era in Teen Beauty
Superdrug’s POP range was built for young people who often borrow their parents’ skincare — a habit dermatologists warn can overwhelm teenage skin.
Lexi says she loves being part of something that helps her generation:
“I get to share products I actually believe in. It feels good to promote things that help young people feel confident.”
She’s already planning her next steps in beauty and modelling:
“Now that I’ve done my first beauty campaign, I can’t wait for more.”
Inside the Holden–Hughes Family: Fame, Normalcy… and a Sister Who Wants None of It
While Lexi is embracing the spotlight, her younger sister Hollie, 14, is going in the complete opposite direction.
Amanda joked that Hollie recently refused to be seen with her at school:
“She literally crossed the road so nobody would know she knew me!”
But behind the humour is a family that values normality.
Amanda says her home life is “chaotic, grounded and totally unglamorous” — something she believes helped her daughters grow up without relying on their mum’s fame.
She also shut down “nepo baby” criticism, proudly pointing out that Lexi works two jobs alongside her studies.
The Next Big Name in British Beauty?
With a major campaign under her belt, a fast-growing fanbase, a striking look reminiscent of her mum’s early days, and a work ethic praised by both parents…
Lexi Hughes is shaping up to be one of the UK’s most promising new faces.
And she’s doing it on her own terms — with family, studies, and self-growth at the centre of it all.
